im talking bout what 2nd prof would be better for my rit so it could cause alot of dmg and i have a uber 1337 war

In my post I asked for a high damage build for small group farming for the Mes. If you're gonna talk smack, back it up. 3 backfires with Archane Echo and Echo is lame on a mob of 15 monsters.

Incorrect; they specialize. They can own both caster and melee, but it's generally better to play as one.

How about solo UW? That's been proven, over and over again.

The Mesmer can solo the most of UW, out of all the classes.

Well, let's say they aren't liked in group farming, but they absolutely own in high-level solo farming.

EDIT: With your farming group, the Mesmer can hold off the monk, making the nuker's job that much easier. :P

Obviously you took my words out of context. I never said Assassins were a challenge to play. I said Ritualists have an easy time to get into groups. Assassins were the challenge (referencing getting into groups), even more so than Mesmers.

yea not alot of people want sins cuz most of them think their tanks and die really fast

Wow Avarre you rock and uh just to reiterate what everyone has said sins don't suck if you find someone by themselves you jump to em and kill em also I am sure that a sin can be a tank for a small amount of time if used right (Flashing Blades+Crit Eye+Crit Defenses anyone?) people just still haven't learned to use sins yet. For example my sin has gotten through this game with alot of masters missions and he has beaten it and is working for 15k imps, just recently I did unwaking, lost the first time due to lack of interrupts, second time my group mauled kuuni, now there were like three other tanks but guess who the main damage dealer was? ME the SIN I was degenning Kuuni so bad she couldn't think straight and then to add salt to the wound I was smacking her with serious damage(this was at the end mind you) before that I made sure there absolutely no afflicted monks alive after 15 secs and I soloed the afflicted bosses. Sins are FAR from weak if used correctly.

Why do people think Sins should tank?

You have Aura of Displacement, etc. for a reason, y'all know.

And do you know why tanks don't do damage?

They tank, maybe?

And you were stupid enough to get FOUR tanks, yourself included?

YES FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!

I didn't even read the posts Ill be honest, but I've played both of these classes and I find the Ritualist is a ton better hands down... Assassins still have their uses, but really... a Ritualist can do it all.

You see, its not that assassins are horrible is people have no freakin idea how to play them. Its like... "Im an assassin, Im invicible... I can do everything". Then they do in 2 seconds. I remember playing my ritualist and there was an assassin in the same mission. I rezed him at least 10 times in the first 15 mintues.... and he was like "why aren't the Monks healing" OMG... Why are you so stupid and run right up to the boss and die in 3 hits?? By half way through the mission he was at 60DP and I just gave up on him. Eventually he quit and was sour because the healers weren't doing their jobs

So Ill say it again. READ LIGHTNING HELLS POST CAREFULLY

I had the same experience. 1 Assassin, 1 warrior, 1 necro, 1 ranger, 1 ele, and me (Rit/N). Assassin died in every battle we faced. Eventually the Assassin said he was going to quit the mission. I tried to convince him to stay (we were 90% done). I told him it didn't matter if he dies, as long as I live, he'll be raised. I had to heal the entire party (because no one, except the ranger) had any healing with them.

Sadly, the Assassin did leave and we completed the mission without him.

Assassins are the best learning experience in the game. They are the essence of power and fragility in one. "Can dish it out, but can't take it" type of character. Poisonous serated knives in a rice paper house. Deadly in melee, but disolves into the earth if you get it wet (spill its blood).

You might find ritualist is not the most "fun profession".

Lvl 20 and beat the game with it, yet i still cant seem to do much with thiss character after that. The spirits are "ok" but not really a thrill.
